Homebrew 4 Twitch Drops - February 5th - 15th

Homebrew 4 Twitch Drops - February 5th - 15th

Get ready - Rust is dropping another round of free loot you can earn simply by watching Twitch streams. The Homebrew 4 Twitch Drops event runs from February 5th through February 15th, bringing 10 exclusive drops tied to Twitch streamers and 4 general drops via the YouTube scene for all participating viewers. Facepunch hasn't dropped a full itme list yet - keep an eye out on their socials and Twitch drop page for the reveal - but expect a mix of weapon skins, deployables, and cosmetics.

How to Earn Your Twitch Drops

1. Link your accounts

Before anything else, pair your Twitch account with your Steam account - that's where your Rust inventory lives. Without this link, you won't receive drops.

  • Go to the official Rust Drops page (here) and follow the Connect Accounts instructions.

2. Watch eligible streams

  • To earn streamer-specific drops, you need to watch that stream with Drops Enabled.
  • You'll need to watch for a defined amount of time per item (time requirements vary by drop).

You cannot stack watch time across multiple livestreams at once - choose one channel at at ime to make progress.

3. Claim your rewards

  • After you've watched enough, click "Claim" in your Twitch Drops Inventory.
  • Drops will usually appear in your Steam inventory within about 10 minutes - occassionally up to 30 minutes.

4. Troubleshooting tips

If your drops don't immediately show up, a couple of things you can try:

  • Make sure your accounts were linked before you earned the drop.
  • Click "Check for missing drops" on the Rust Twitch Drops site if the item doesn't appear in Rust.

Tips to Maximize Your Loot

  • Plan your watch time - if each drop requires a block of time, focus on streamers early to hit as many as possible before the event ends.
  • Follow proactive channels - popular Rust streamers often remind viewers about drop timers and requirements.
  • Stay patient - count on a short delivery delay between claiming and the item showing in-game.

Why Twitch Drops Matter

Twitch Drops are Rust's way of rewarding community engagement - not just playtime. You get cool skins and items for free, while streamers get a bigger audience and hype around their content.
